Jack Ma is a politician, investor, philanthropist and a businessman from China. He was born in the city of Hangzhou on China’s Zhejiang province. Jack Ma was born on the 10th of September in the year of 1964. He is currently 54 years old now. Due to being born in a poor family, he struggled to get into college. The Chinese students go through a rigorous entrance exam for universities, where Jack Ma failed three times before passing on his fourth attempt. He graduated from the Hangzhou Teacher’s Institute, which is currently known as the Hangzhou Normal University in the year of 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
His business career started on a very rough patch. When he a fresh university graduate, he applied to 30 jobs and was rejected in all of them. He faced a lot of rejection in his early adult life, but it did not set him back from pursuing his dreams. He first heard about the internet in 1994, but at that time China was still a developing nation and did not embrace the technology of the internet wholeheartedly. He then created a company which helped Chinese entrepreneurs open websites on the internet. And then he founded Alibaba Group which owns the biggest e-commerce site in China. Jack Ma’s current net worth is estimated to be around $40 billion.
