What is life? Is it what defines a living being from a non-living one? The scientific definition of life is that it is organic matter that has the capacity for growth and reproduction among other attributes. Life has only appeared in abundance in one single planet in the entire universe, and that planet is called Earth. After billions of years of evolution and struggle, humans have started to thrive as the predominant life force on this planet. That is why human life is considered to be the most sacred form of life on Earth.
The chances of life appearing spontaneously in the universe is incredibly rare. That is why we should value all forms of life in this world, regardless if it is a plant or an animal species. Too many times have humans destroyed the natural habitat of animals, and in our eternal quest to dominate in this planet, we are losing the essence of our own beings. Life is precious to all, so it must be preserved no matter how tough the circumstances can get. We have discovered hundreds of thousands of planets since we started gazing upon the heavens, yet we are unable to find a single planet that has concrete proof of life. This is why we must value life on planet Earth.
