John Maxwell was born on February 20, 1947, in Garden City, Michigan. He is an American writer, speaker, and pastor who has written numerous books, mostly focusing on leadership. Some of his books have sold millions of copies, with bestseller lists. He followed his father into the ministry. He completed a bachelor’s degree in 1969, a master of divinity degree, and a doctor of ministry degree. He presently resides in South Florida with his wife, Margaret.
