Born June 12, 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Ze Carlos and Dona Esmeralda Coutinho and two brothers Cristiano and Leandro, he came from a low budget and low standard of living. Phillippe was a shy and reserved child while growing up and back in the days in Brazil, all children were always playing with football so he will watch his elder brothers challenge and play with their friends and he never believed he would beat them till age 6 when he took up playing football and became amazing at it. It was a grandmother of a friend that advised his dad to enroll him in a local team then to allow his talents go to waste.
At age 16 he had his first break Inter Milan paid a whooping sum of £7.7 Million dollars to secure his service just right before he joined the U17 Brazil team April 17, 2009 and then moved on to play for the U20 team before joining the official team October 7, 2010 at the age of 18. Season 08/09 July, 2008 he left Vasco U17 to join Inter Milan for the fee of 3.8 Million Euro based on what his skills then in the same season he moved to Vasco da Gama on a loan which ended in the next season and his Market Value rose to 2.5 Million Euro. In 11/12 January 30, 2012 he joined Espanyol with an increased MV of 8 Million Euro on a loan in the same season his MV dropped to 7 Million Euro which ended the loan and he joined Liverpool in season 12/13 with a wonderful increase of MV 9 Million Euro and a beautiful fee of 13 Million Euro and finally in season 17/18 January 6,2018 he joined FC Barcelona with a breathtaking MV increase of 90 Million Euro and an outstanding fee of 135 Million Euro which brings a total fee of 151,80 Million Euro. His current MV is 100 Million Euro last updated in February 2019 and his Highest MV is 150 Million Euro.
His LaLiga statistics for 18/19 shows that he appeared in 33 matches, with 5 goals, 2 assists, 2 yellow cards with 60% of starting Eleven, 62% minutes played per game with 6% goal participation. He got the first yellow card in match between Valencia in the 58’ minutes of the game and the other yellow card in the 76’ minute of the game against Alaves. He sustained 2 Torn muscle bundle this season.
Philippe married his childhood sweetheart Aine who left everything she had including her family to be with the man she loves to start a new life. Age 20 he married her and till today they are still happily married with a baby girl. He has always kept his family dear to his heart and it was said in 2017 while in the locker room his coach read out the letter his mom sent to him and it was because of the reading of the letter that sparked him to be stronger and beat Manchester City.
He was awarded U15 South American Championship Winner in 2007 while playing for Club de Regata Vasco da Gama in season 08/09 they won Campeonato Brasileito Serie B Champieon and in 2009 he won the U17 South American Championship Winner with Brazil U17 team. In season 10/11 He won The Italian Super Cup Winner while in FC Internazionale and in the same season his team won The Italian Cup Winner, he won to win 2 times Spanish Super Cup Winner for FC Barcelona. FC Barcelona in season 17/18 won The Spanish Cup Winner with the help of Philippe and 2 times winner of Spanish Champion in season 17/18 and 18/19.
